Forbes Names Highest Paid Musicians of 2013

With 2013 coming towards an end, Forbes has released their annual listing of the year’s highest paid musicians. It comes as no surprise that Madonna takes the pole position for highest earning musician, having been announced as the highest paid overall celebrity earlier this year when her ‘MDNA tour’ and other business endeavors grossed over $305 million USD, pushing her so far ahead that Lady Gaga‘s second position spot at a paltry $80 million USD. Following closely is Bon Jovi at $79 million USD, ousting the likes of Kanye West and Beyonce, while other familiar names such as Rihanna, Dr. Dre and Jay-Z gained notable mention. Forbes' List Of Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists

The Forbes Five looks like a pretty exclusive group. It’s always surprising to see the actual numbers of hip-hop’s top-earning artists. The publication released their short list of the wealthiest moguls in the game and sitting comfortably at the top is Sean “Diddy” Combs. Jay-Z comes in second, while Dr. Dre, Birdman and 50 Cent rounding out the list.

3. Dr. Dre: $270 Million
4. Birdman: $125 Million
