Last night at the Grammy’s, Justin Timberlake had a huge re-introduction back into music. He performed his latest single “Suit & Tie” alongside Hip-Hop icon, Jay-Z. JT also decided to release a new single off of his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience, entitled “Mirrors”. It was also dope to see Justin working alongside the man responsible for producing many of his hits (“Sexy Back”, “My Love” and “What Goes Around”), super-producer Timbaland. Rick Ross has reportedly hired on 24 hour armed security after he was the apparent target of a drive by shooting in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl earlier this week. Police have confirmed over 20 shots were fired, none of which struck Ross, his female passenger, OR the Rolls Royce he was driving. As a shooter if you miss a whale driving a boat, I suggest you find a new career. I however assert to you, the court of public opinion, that the entire act was perpetrated, and orchestrated by Ross himself, as a PR stunt, and attempt to maintain his "gangster" image. I suppose we will wait for police to apprehend the shooter. Because that's how every rap shooting ends.




Lindsay Lohan is back in the news...when did she leave? The full time waste of life and part time actress attempted to dodge yet another court date by saying she was sick. Nothing says "I take court seriously" like giving the same excuse I give my boss when it's a nice day and I want to blow off work to golf. I'm filing Lindsays most recent escapade in the same hashtag drawer I file anything else she does, #shitnoonecaresabout. 





Chris Brown has continued on his fighting tour of other celebrities. After famously beating up his on again off again girlfriend Rhianna a few years back, Brown had since moved on to fighting Drake in a club late last year. The target of his apparent never ending rage? R&B Phenom Frank Ocean. Brown reportedly attacked Ocean over a parking space at a recording studio. Brown stepped out the next day sporting a cast on his right hand. In Chris Brown's defense at least he is fighting other men now. Gay men, but men no doubt. If you ask me his hierarchy is backwards. He went: woman, rapper, other singer...? Seems legit. 

Unless you've been living underground for the past month, you're already at least aware of the bizarre Manti Te'o saga. This week Dr. Phil appeared on the today show to give some info on.his interview with Ronaiah Tuiasosopo the apparent mastermind behind the entire dead girlfriend hoax. Tuiasosopo reportedly tells.Dr. Phil that he thinks he himself is in fact gay. I'm not really going to touch this one...I will say that I was watching Ace Ventura a few days ago...and the plot seems strangely familiar...."Kekua IS Tuiasosopo....Tuiasosopo IS Kekua....Kekua is a man!" You know the rest. 




Jason London was arrested, and allegedly shit his pants while in the holding cell. The number one question in everyones mind? Who the fuck is Jason London?

Is Sony Preparing to Unveil the PlayStation 4?

With invitations already sent out to various tech tastemakers promising big news for a February 20 event, many speculate that Sony will be unveiling the PlayStation 4. The Wall Street Journal has in fact gone so far as to declare that the PlayStation 3 successor is exactly what we’re getting. This news coincides with confirmations of a next-generation console from Microsoft – with each platform looking to duke it out for a Holiday 2013 release in the marketplace. According to TechCrunch, “Rumors about what the console will actually look like so far include retaining an optical disc drive, said to be a concession made to ensuring that large-sized games are still convenient for customers to actually obtain and play, and a move from the Cell chip that powers the current PS3 to an AMD-based design, which might complicate things in terms of backwards compatibility with current games.” Stay tuned for further details as they surface. via Hypebeast

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis spend a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with their debut entry “Thrift Shop,” featuring Wanz, while another rap newcomer, A$AP Rocky, roars 15-10 with his first charted title, “F**kin Problems,” featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar.

From the pair’s album “The Heist,” which debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 2 the week of Oct. 27, “Thrift” claims dual Streaming and Airplay Gainer awards on the Hot 100. It holds atop Streaming Songs (which launched two weeks ago) with 1.86 million streams (up 10%), according to Nielsen BDS. It leads On-Demand Songs for a fourth week with 1.71 million on-demand streams (up 11%), rewriting its own record for the most weekly on-demand streams dating to the inception of the list last March. (On-Demand Songs includes data from subscription services Spotify, Rdio, Muve Music, Slacker, Rhapsody and Xbox Music.)

“Thrift” concurrently ascends to the Radio Songs top 10, surging 14-8 with 75 million all-format audience impressions (up 28%), according to BDS. The track rises 6-2 on Rhythmic, 18-13 on Pop Songs and 16-14 on Alternative Songs. With Warner Bros. now promoting the song to R&B/hip-hop radio, “Thrift” is approaching the 50-position R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart with a 236% gain to 1.6 million format impressions (or less than 1% of its overall audience; 54% of its listenership is owed to pop radio airplay).
“Thrift” tops the Digital Songs chart for a third frame with 357,000 downloads sold (up 5%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. It passes 2 million (2.3 million) in digital sales to date.
