Young Thug’s ‘Barter 6′ Fails To Crack Top 20; Tyler The Creator Lands In Top 5

Young Thug-Tyler The Creator

Young Thug caused an uproar when he announced that he would title his debut album, Carter 6, to the dismay of Lil’ Wayne who is the originator of the Carter series. After Weezy clapped back with copyright infringement allegations, Thugger changed the title to Barter 6, since he is a member of the Bloods gang. It dropped last week and failed to crack the top 10 or 20 of the Billboard 200, landing at no. 26 with 19,000 sold, Billboard reports.

Tyler the Creator’s Cherry Bomb album landed at no. 5 despite the short notice of its release. It pushed 58,000 units, with 51,000 being traditional album sales. The Odd Future leader didn’t quite top the sales of his previous album Wolf, which sold 89,000 copies its first week.

In other Billboard news, the Fast and Furious 7 Soundtrack sits at the no. 2 spot with 79,000 units sold this week while Drake rounds out the top 10 with another 35,000 copies of If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late sold.
